Thank you for your recent interest in hosting a field trip at It’s A Zoo Life. Our field trips include a guided tour with a knowledgeable staff member consisting of hands-on encounters with lots of our animals. Listed below are a few guidelines to consider before booking. We are looking forward to your visit!
We prefer field trip groups arrive in time for our 10am tour. The animals have just been fed and they are most receptive this time of day. If our 1pm tour time works better for your group we will make every effort to accommodate. We are closed on Mondays. One week prior to your scheduled appointment please provide an accurate headcount so we can staff accordingly.
We prefer groups of 100 or less. This is to ensure each individual gets plenty of one on one time with the animals and ensures the safety of our staff, your group, and our animals. If your group is larger and can’t be split into 2 visits we will make every effort to still offer full encounters but this could vary depending on the availability of staff and ages of children.
Field trip prices are $15.00 each for students. If you would like to open the visit up to parents and additional siblings their cost would also be $15.00 each. Teachers are admitted free with Teacher ID! Volunteers are not considered teachers. Home school groups are limited to a minimum of 15 students to qualify for field trip pricing.
We require a non-refundable deposit to hold your school's Field Trip Slot. The deposit amount is determined by the group size. The deposit is then applied to the final cost of the field trip. We accept cash, credit cards, or checks and payment is due at the beginning of the tour for the remaining fees due. All funds MUST be collected by a member of your group and paid in a lump sum. If your organization opts to extend the invite to parents and siblings you would be responsible to collect these funds and forms also and ensure fees are paid by all who are in attendance. Please note there will be a 4% surcharge added to each payment.
We do have a tented area with tables and chairs if your group would like to bring a picnic lunch. Please let us know if this is an option you are interested in.
We have a small bounce house available for an extra $100.00 if your group would be interested in this option.
We can add other options such as pony/horse rides or kid’s meals consisting of chicken tenders or corn dogs for an additional charge.
Please make sure children are dressed accordingly, as all of our animals are outside. We recommend closed toe shoes but they are not required.
